Speaker 1:

Happy September 1st y'all. We made it through June, july and August. I don't know why, but August is my least favorite month.

Speaker 2:

Go Dawgs? Yeah, we did. We made it through August.

Speaker 1:

I'm so glad it's September.

Speaker 2:

It's fall. Well kind of Kind of yeah, it doesn't really feel like it quite yet.

Speaker 1:

I don't think summer's over until September's all the way over, with no September the 22nd or something like that, which is ridiculous.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, if I had my druthers I would change. I know it's the way the Earth goes around the planet and that we have to do it on September 22nd. Yeah, it's where the solstices are Summer and the winter solstice. I don't know who decided that. It's just the way it works. You know December 22nd is around there as our shortest day of the year.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

And you know it's how our planet's axis tilts when it rotates around the sun. And you know June 22nd or something like that is our longest day, and so it's not divided up perfectly. On June 1st to August is summer and September to you know. Whatever is that? See, I would do it that way, though. I would say June 1st to September or August 31st is summer.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know, that's what I would do. Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1:

Well too it's been. I can't part the oceans either. It's been dark when I get to work for a month now, if not longer, mm-hmm. So I don't want to hear about these days getting shorter and shorter. They've already been shorter, well sure they started getting shorter.

Speaker 2:

June 22nd.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's dumb.

Speaker 2:

You'll have to take it up with the man. It's dumb. You get to the pearly gates. They're going to say Carol, do you have anything you need to say about life after death? Yeah, we got to do something about this calendar thing.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

That'd be good.

Speaker 1:

But here we are, I may go celebrate and get myself a pumpkin spice today.

Speaker 2:

St Peter would look at you and go yeah, just come on in, I'm not arguing with you Just come on in.

Speaker 1:

We actually get that complaint a lot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just come on in.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm going to go celebrate and get myself a pumpkin spice today.

Speaker 2:

Well, good for you. Good for you. I'm not a pumpkin spice person.

Speaker 1:

I love it, you know it's so funny. I've got to get this out. It's so funny. I love pumpkin spice and I'm not embarrassed to say it, but it's so hilarious to watch everybody online think that they are so special and unique and and extraordinary unique with their stance on hating pumpkins. But oh, I hate pumpkins. You know what a lot of people hate pumpkin spice. Oh, I hate pumpkin spice. You know what A lot of people hate pumpkin spice. You're not special.

Speaker 2:

I don't like pumpkin spice. It's not my favorite, but I don't care if you get pumpkin spice or whatever.

Speaker 1:

I just think it's so. And it's not just pumpkin spice, there's some other things too. I love it. It cracks me up when people get online and think that they are going against the grain and thinking they're so special with their commentary. But I'm like. You're not the only one that has said that.

Speaker 2:

No, being unique is no longer a unique thing. That's a good one. Somebody, someone got. Being unique is no longer a unique thing. I like that. Sometimes I come up with a good one here and there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you do.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely the only thing that gets me. There was one Take flavor or type of drink and I can't remember what it was called now, but that got to be, you know, real popular Apple cider. No, no, no, no. It'd take us forever to try to remember what the hell the name of it was. Did it revolve around the seasons? See, no, no. And so I had to try it and I thought, my God, this is the most repulsive thing I've ever had. Oh no, I've got to know what it is.

Speaker 2:

And why do you people think this is good? I'll think of it.

Speaker 1:

Okay so.

Speaker 2:

It was called chai. All right, yeah, it's called chai and it's basically a. I don't really know what the hell it is, okay, I don't really know what the hell, it is Okay. It's made by brewing black tea usually crushed tea curl in milk and water, and then sweetening with sugar, adding aromatic herbs and spices. That Criollo chai is often prepared unspiced, so it's just a type of tea. Like black tea. The term chai originated from the Chinese word for tea.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so it's just tea.

Speaker 2:

Spiced tea is commonly referred to as chai tea or simply chai.

Speaker 1:

So it's just a spiced tea, it's not even a spiced tea.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're right, because you add the spices to make it become spiced.

Speaker 1:

Okay. So it's just a fancy name, for it's just the Chinese name for tea.

Speaker 2:

It's something that they made up to sell you stuff is what it is, uh-huh. That's exactly what it is. That's exactly what it is, so anyway going back to the point, it was one of those words they did to sell you crap and it tasted like crap.

Speaker 1:

But it's just tea.

Speaker 2:

But people would say you know, oh, how wonderful it is. So I think it's probably on the line. You know, with the craze, some people formulate that as that same craze for pumpkin spice as they do. Oh, chai is so good. Right, right, right. But anyway I could drink a pumpkin spice, but I'm not going down the chai road.

Speaker 1:

Okay, gotcha, how about that Gotcha? How about them dogs?

Speaker 2:

They are hell, aren't they?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I just realized, before we get into those dogs, that I've got my morning voice going on and it's kind of that voice that we hate the vocal fry that we hate, so I'm not trying to do vocal fry, this is just morning voice.

Speaker 1:

Morning voice Morning voice.

Speaker 2:

yeah, there's a difference between vocal fry and morning voice yes, but anyway, Well, I hate my voice, no matter what.

Speaker 1:

I hate the way I talk, but here I am doing a podcast. You have the voice of an angel, I hate my voice, I hate the way I sound.

Speaker 2:

Speaking of the voice of an angel. I hate my voice, I hate the way I sound Speaking of the voice of an angel.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh yes, and we talked about Go Dawgs, yes, and a couple of things that I have. Either Georgia's got a really good team or Clemson was very overrated One of the two, and I think it was a combination of two. I think Georgia's going to be a good team, but they're not all that. You know that cup of chai tea yet, but Clemson was not. You know, if Clemson was a really good team, then Georgia's really, really, really good, but I think that Clemson was overrated. And you know, I'm hoping Georgia's a really good team because I wanted to be good, but clemson had a terrible team. But again, we're speaking of vocal fry and angel voices. Um, you know, you have to train them. You have to train them early, and this is what we did yesterday. Uh, get there, this is this is what we did yesterday. You ready? Replay it one more time, you ready?

Speaker 1:

that was our grandbaby cameron. The gent has taught him pops, have taught him how to say go dog, sick him. He picked up on it quick he did.

Speaker 2:

I was almost like he knew what the what was coming, but I said it first and he just he repeated it, just like that immediately.

Speaker 2:

He didn't have to think about it at all I was like whoa, all right now, he did have an alabama jersey on when he came over. Uh, we did have him, we did dress him in georgia, get up one day and send him home, and he came back and that georgia stuff has never been seen again. So it was, uh, it was, it was fun having him there. You know, he'd watch a little bit of it, but then he was a car we had. We got him a bunch of cars and he's into Hot Wheels now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And enjoying those.

Speaker 1:

He seems to like it.

Speaker 2:

He does, he does, he does like Georgia football.

Speaker 1:

He seems to like Hot Wheels too.

Speaker 2:

But it was an interesting day for football yesterday. I'll give it that.

Speaker 1:

You only watched the one game, because after that I made you watch two movies back to back.

Speaker 2:

You didn't make me watch anything. I wanted to watch them.

Speaker 1:

We finished up our Marvel movie series. Now there's more after the Endgame, but we're not watching any of those.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Endgame was the end game.

Speaker 1:

For us, for me it was, that's for sure. In case you didn't know, tony Stark dies in it.

Speaker 2:

I For sure, because, tony, in case you didn't know, tony Stark dies in it. I don't like it. Yeah, tony Stark dies in it. And when they they could have condensed that movie down.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2:

You know, we're sitting there watching it and I'm thinking okay, this movie's over and pop it up. And it's got an hour and 20 minutes left. I'm realizing this is a three-hour plus movie.

Speaker 1:

I didn't know it at the time and we've seen it before and I remember watching it the first time, I think it was in theater. I loved it. But when we watched it this time I'm like, oh my gosh, the first hour of the of the movie drug dragged. It was so.

Speaker 2:

And the last hour dragged.

Speaker 1:

Awful.

Speaker 2:

The uh. There's a scene in Seinfeld where Elaine has to go to the movies with her boss and she's sitting there in the movie, you know, telling the character just die, damn it. You know, end this thing. At the end of that movie I was like just end this thing, good gosh, because they kept going on and on and on about it was done In the movie.

Speaker 1:

We need to come up. Are we going to watch anything else after this? Are we going to get into another series of movies? What are we going to do? We haven't thought about it.

Speaker 2:

Maybe Spongebob.

Speaker 1:

Something a little lighter. Something lighter we need to get into some comedies or something Maybe do like.

Speaker 2:

We already watched Beverly Hills Cop.

Speaker 1:

Maybe do all the movies. Yeah, we could do all the movies with Chris Farley in it or something.

Speaker 2:

That's a thought, or John Candy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, something like that Just pick an actor and then watch all his movies or hers.

Speaker 2:

Or Chevy Chase, Of course, some of those you know you get in Chevy Chase, you got Caddyshack and Stripes.

Speaker 1:

Chevy Chase wasn't in Stripes, was he?

Speaker 2:

No, he wasn't. I was thinking of Bill Murray, yeah which is another one. Yeah, yeah, Bill Murray you could do because you got the Ghostbusters. But Chevy Chase, you know you'd have the vacation movies and all that.

Speaker 1:

He was, this other obscure was it Spies Like Us, or something he was in that we did watch that one. You made me watch that one, oh yeah. You didn't make me, but we watched it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was fun. That's a funny movie to watch. You'd make me, but we watched it. Yeah, that was fun. That's a funny movie to watch Little bits and pieces always jump out at me about that movie. Yeah, that's a good thought. Anybody has any recommendations on that type?

Speaker 1:

of thing we could.

Speaker 2:

That's not the question of the day, but that's just recommendations on movies. We want to watch the Star Wars ones, butney has decided that they're going to charge us. Uh, you have to buy every one of them if you want to watch it well, I'm a little done on the outer space stuff, right?

Speaker 1:

now, right now, we did star trek and then, of course, the marvel movies. But what we could do is we could take when saturday night live was good, we could take an actor from that era. You got Bill Murray, eddie Murphy.

Speaker 2:

Chevy.

Speaker 1:

Chase and watch their movies.

Speaker 2:

Belushi.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, that's a thought.

Speaker 1:

That's a lot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and if anybody has any suggestions, please bring it out. There Can't be just one movie, it has to be a series. We're in a series of movie type things. All right, that's a good idea.

Speaker 1:

All right, but did you want to go see the Reagan movie with me this weekend sometime? I know you're pretty much movied out, probably right now.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to have to decide after breakfast.

Speaker 1:

Do you care if I go and see it if you don't want to go?

Speaker 2:

No, I wouldn't mind, that'd be great. Then I will go and watch it, that'd be great, okay, maybe We'll see. All right, we'll see what happens.

Speaker 1:

All right, what are we having for breakfast? By the way, whatever you want, my love, oh my gosh. I hate when he does this. I hate when he puts this on me.

Speaker 2:

Yesterday we had biscuits and gravy with. We can do just about anything, okay, but that's a good place to ask the question of the day what Are we ready for the question of the day. Yeah, might be Okay. All right, the question of the day is, when it's a Sunday morning or a Saturday morning and you're going to lazy around and fix yourself a good breakfast, what is your go-to breakfast?

Speaker 1:

We've had this question before a lot.

Speaker 2:

What is your go-to style of eggs?

Speaker 1:

There you go, okay.

Speaker 2:

That go with your bacon and sausage. I don't know, I can't remember if we had it. I guess we have. But we're going to go to it again.

Speaker 1:

How about this? What are you having for breakfast today?

Speaker 2:

There you go. That's the question of the day. What are you having for breakfast today? Let us know.

Speaker 1:

Show us a picture in the comments.

Speaker 2:

Yes, because we're going to lay here and decide on what. You put your picture up as.

Speaker 1:

Okay, thanks for listening.

Speaker 2:

But I.
