TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Ever wondered how a TV show can both captivate and disappoint? This episode opens with a spirited analysis of "Inventing Anna," where we dissect the portrayal of characters and share some candid critiques about the casting choices. We then introduce you to another series, "Palm Royale," lauding the standout performances of Kristen Wiig and Ricky Martin. But our conversation takes a sobering turn as we discuss a disturbing news story involving Diego Rodriguez Salvador, an illegal migrant accused of a heinous crime in Louisiana. Our emotions run high as we express the urgent need for severe legal consequences for such actions.

Prepare to be both amused and bewildered as we recount two jaw-dropping stories. In Virginia, a handgun stored in an oven led to an alarming incident when it fired multiple rounds as the oven heated up, serving as a stark reminder of the critical importance of gun safety. Then, there's the incredulous tale of a woman slapped with a meticulous invoice from her sister after babysitting her child. The charges, ranging from toilet flushes to apple juice, totaled $72 and came with a stern payment deadline. These stories not only highlight the quirks and follies of human behavior but also spark important discussions on safety and family dynamics. Tune in for a rollercoaster of emotions and insights!

Speaker 1:

Hello, good morning, happy Monday. Okay, I hope you all had a great weekend. We have three topics to go over this morning and all of them are listed on my X-File. One of them is serious, the other two are kind of goofy. But first I want to talk about this, inventing Anna.

Speaker 1:

I started watching this show. I've been looking for shows to watch and I haven't watched Inventing Anna. You know, when it first came out it was all a hubbub and everything and I had never heard of her before. This person, that fake socialite that that tricked everybody in New York and bankers and bank institutions and it's just great, and hotels like these big, ritzy hotels she'd stay at and not pay what in the world. So the story is trying to tell how this happened, but I still haven't figured out how she did it.

Speaker 1:

I don't understand this. I want more details. I don't know anything about her. They haven't given us anything about her background, her real background. Maybe we're going to get to that later, but I have a couple of critiques already. The first thing is that a trans person playing the gym trainer, the personal trainer that has to be a man, come on. And why I guess they have to. Their DEI director probably had to have you know something like that in there. I think it's stupid.

Speaker 1:

The other thing is the friend Rachel, who seemed to be such a freaking ditz. They portrayed her as a crybaby ditz. You know, I'd be crying too, though, quite frankly, if I had done that One thing, I wouldn't have done that. Quite frankly, if I had done that One thing, I wouldn't have done that. I guess you know, if you're Morocco and you're trying to get out of Morocco and you are you're the only way to get out is to use your credit card or your company credit card. I guess I would have done the same thing too, but I wouldn't have gotten that far with with her. I don't think.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, what I'm saying is this one episode. They told the story of Rachel and they just portrayed her as a ditzy, dumbass, crybaby person Until the very end of this episode. And then all of a sudden, she got smart when her work finally confronts her and she's like then she starts quoting laws and all this and all of a sudden she's super smart. Okay, whatever, I know it's a TV show, but it was supposed to be based on a real story. Obviously they've taken liberties with this Because you know it's Hollywood, but I am into it. I watched a lot of episodes yesterday trying to catch up on it, and I stayed up kind of late watching it too. I'm on episode 8 of season 1. Apparently, there are two seasons to this to tell this damn story of this girl. Oh okay, but it's good, I'm watching it. I will continue to watch it.

Speaker 1:

Another one that I would like to recommend that I finished watching is Palm Royale. Loved it. It has Kristen Wiig in it, although there's a couple of scenes in there that it's like they could have done without that, and you'll know what I'm talking about if you watch it. Ricky Martin is in it. That's all you need to know about the. Yeah, and you know, we all know about Ricky Martin why they have to do that, I don't know. All right, but it's a good show. I loved it. I loved it. It was kind of it's like a dry comedy, like a mis, not not really a murder mystery, but anyway, it's a good show. You should watch it. All right, we got to move on to my topics that I wanted to talk about the. We'll go. We'll start with the serious one first and then we will end with the ridiculous one.

Speaker 1:

So there's another migrant. Admits to knife point rape and kidnapping of a Louisiana girl who was 13 years old, another illegal person here that crossed our border raping our people. I don't know, she may not have been here either, she may not be one of us either, I don't know An undocumented. My immigrant police, likened to a ghost I don't know what that means Admitted to kidnapping and raping a teenage girl at knife point near New Orleans. Diego Rodriguez Salvador, 23 years old, was arrested September 4th for allegedly luring a 13 year old girl into his car before driving her to his home in Kenner, louisiana, and raping her. Come on, yeah, why did this girl? I know she's 13, though, oh, maybe, uh, oh.

Speaker 1:

Rodriguez salvador, an illegal migrant from honduras, allegedly asked his friend's teenage sister oh, okay to take a ride to a nearby store with him. She accepted the ride, but when the girl noticed they were headed in the wrong direction, rodriguez salvador pulled a knife, assaulted her, then dropped her off in her own neighborhood before speeding away into the night. These people, I cannot stand. These people, these men who do this is just. Oh. I just want to punch them in the freaking throat and strangle their little stupid necks. Oh, okay. So after the alleged crime was reported around 7.45 pm, rodriguez Salvador led police on a brief manhunt until officers found a white 2013 Nissan Altima linked to the suspect. Police said phone contact was made with the suspect and he agreed to surrender himself before taking into custody.

Speaker 1:

Diego was has undocumented status in the united states and detectives are working closely with homeland security investigations to obtain any additional information that could assist in his identification or apprehension. They don't know who this guy is. I don't understand. What do you mean is or apprehension? I thought they had him in custody. Uh is charged with second degree kidnapping and kidnapping degree rape of a juvenile victim. I hope they get this guy, I hope they keep him here and I hope they try him and I hope he gets life in sentence, which I you know he's not going to, but I hope they throw the book at him. It's just, it's just horrendous. What is happening with this? It's just, I can't. Let's move on to the next story.

Speaker 1:

Podcast topic handgun forgotten inside oven fires off multiple rounds in Virginia home after overheating. Why are you putting your gun in your oven? What is wrong with you? What makes you think, oh, let me put my gun in my oven. Let me hide my gun in my oven. Maybe these are, I don't know. Maybe they don't use their oven? Ah, who doesn't use their oven?

Speaker 1:

A loaded handgun fired off multiple rounds inside a Virginia home after someone carelessly stored the firearm in the home's oven. What in the hell? Please do not store guns or anything else in your oven. The Chesterfield County Fire and EMS warned community members on a Facebook post describing the mishap on Friday. These people are morons. The department said that firefighters responded to a house fire Thursday evening after the homeowner reported that the home's oven had exploded. Upon arriving at the residence, firefighters opened the oven and found a gun melted to the steel grates. It turns out someone turned the oven on with the gun inside. The weapon heated up and five rounds went off. Luckily, no one was hurt, but Chesterfield County Fire and EMS shared that the situation could have turned out much differently. Yeah, I guess so. A photo of the charred handgun melted into the steel grates sorry, excuse me inside the oven shows that the barrel was pointed either toward the oven's glass door or its back. And they do have pictures if you want to go, look at that nonsense. The department did not clarify which direction the gun was facing when it went off.

Speaker 1:

When you place any item in the oven, it is easy to forget it is in there, excuse me, golly which can lead to fire or something. Who stores shit in their oven, especially handguns? Y'all. Am I. Am I the only one that finds this stupid? Do you Please tell me you don't store stuff in your oven? Please tell me you don't store stuff in your oven. Oh my gosh. All right, moving on to our last topic Y'all, this one is freaking outrageous. There is something more to this story happening here and I am concerned. I need someone, I need people to check on this woman and I am concerned. I need someone, I need people to check on this woman and her kids. All right, woman shocked by sister's detailed invoice with 50 cents charged per toilet flush for babysitting. You have issues? Yeah, I guess she does, and you might want to have a welfare check on this one.

Speaker 1:

When jessica, young daughter Victoria, off at her sister's house for the afternoon, she was expecting everything to go well for the afternoon, the afternoon, not for the weekend, not for a couple of days. And I say that when I get down to this next part, this other part, jessica had to work. Okay, okay, hold on. Jessica had to work over the weekend so she asked her sister, who has three kids of her own, if she could watch her daughter while she was away. Now the paragraph above says she just dropped her off for the afternoon. This next paragraph says she worked over the weekend. So I don't know, did she stay there the whole weekend? I'm going with the afternoon. She says she dropped her off at her sister's house. Uh, off at her sister's house for the afternoon, all right, but as reported by kid spot I don't know what kid's spot is when she picked her up from her sister's house, she didn't expect to receive a whopping invoice for everything her daughter did and touched over the over the weekend. So now it's over the weekend. I don't know. Was she there for the whole weekend? For the afternoon? I don't know how ridiculous is this girl.

Speaker 1:

Jessica took to tick tock to share the text messages she exchanged with her sister, which quickly blew into a full-on feud. Here is the breakdown of everything victoria used in my home. Her sister's text messages began and it is long. Times are getting hard and I think it is only fair we charge for stuff that she used while being here. This is her niece. This is her sister's daughter. Okay, attached to the text was an invoice for Jessica to pay, complete with a breakdown of every single charge she expected her sister to reimburse her for. This is family, y'all. This is family. Now I understand. If I asked somebody to watch my kid, I would offer to pay them. Even even a relative I would, uh, come on. But it was. I don't know if it was for the afternoon, it was for the weekend, we don't know, because the story is kind of weird. All right, so morning report delivers. Okay, sorry, that was an advertisement.

Speaker 1:

Some were more than fair, especially when considering some are doing it, some are doing it tough financially. Victoria apparently wet the bed with jessica's sister, charged her ten dollars to help clean, so she was there for the afternoon. Why is she wetting the bed? Was she down for the nap or something, or was she there for the? Okay whatever, she charged ten dollars to help clean it up, oh god.

Speaker 1:

The sister also took her kids in victoria to an italian restaurant that was her choice charging jessica seventeen dollars for the meal. The reasonable charges ended there. Three cups of apple juice would cost jessica three dollars and she was asked for a dollar. 2525 for paint used when drawing, $3 for three bags of chips Victoria ate and $7 for using electricity to play video games Y'all. There's some other charges in here too Netflix to watch a movie $4.50. Peed on the bed $10.

Speaker 1:

Paint used when drawing bags of chips one cup of milk was a dollar. One cup of apple juice 250. Using electricity to play video games hand washing 50 cents. Flushing the toilet 50 cents times five come on. She counted the times of she flushed the toilet. There is something wrong with this woman. Other charges included. I already went over that. Okay.

Speaker 1:

So jessica's sister said victoria also wanted to go to the park. So she charged her 375 for petrol to gas to get there, 450 to watch netflix and a whopping 10 to use the wi-fi on the ipad y'all. Please pay 72 to april by April 30th 2024 to avoid interest. The end of the text read interest. This is asinine and crazy, this bit, oh my gosh. Please pay $72 by April 30th 2024 to avoid interest. I can. I'm beyond flabbergasted.

Speaker 1:

A furious Jessica posted on TikTok to air her grievances with the rest of the world. Why don't you just confront your sister? Why do you have to put it on TikTok? But I'm glad you did because I'm talking about it on the podcast. In response to the invoice, all she could respond with was you have issues? How do I decline this bs? How ridiculous is this girl? She said in the video like she flushed the toilet five times ten dollars for okay, she went over the charges. Jessica's sister responded to her text, however, with the argument that the invoice was perfectly reasonable. If she were to have taken my niece to daycare, they would have charged her at least like 150 dollars to watch her. Jessica's sister said in a text shared to a follow-up video these women, these, oh, this sister has definitely has issue.

Speaker 1:

Jessica's sister complained that Victoria was an extra person who was breathing in my home taking away from my children. This is in quotes. So apparently this is what her sister texted to her, telling her that Victoria was an extra person who was breathing in my home taking away from my children. I would never, ever speak to her again. I would check my daughter for abuse because this woman sounds like an abuser.

Speaker 1:

It definitely caused so much freaking stress. You don't even know, she wrote. I was mentally exhausted. It was so stressful having so many children here. I just couldn't deal with it. Oh my, then you may need to have social services give you a visit, ma'am, if you can't handle some children, your own children too. Oh, this is just outrageous. You can go finish reading that story. It is on my. I don't think there's much else to it. I don't know. I don't know what's become of it.

Speaker 1:

I would like to follow up on this New York Post. All right, we gotta go. We gotta end this with a question of the day. All right, here's a question of the day. Have you attended any of your high school reunions and, if so, tell me about it. Was it, was it, a good experience? Do you? Have you kept in contact with anybody from high school? I know, for most of it it's been a while For me, 39 years. Okay, I know 39. Yeah, 39. I think that's right. So have you been to any of your high school reunions? I attended my fifth year reunion and I'm about to attend my 39th reunion. Yes, and I really don't know any of these people. Uh, so it's going to be interesting. I'm mainly going to visit my sister, too while I'm there. Okay, gotta go. Thank you for listening. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and I will be back again tomorrow, god willing.
