TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Is it "OK," "okay," or just "k"? We kick off this episode with a playful debate on the most appropriate spelling, setting a light-hearted tone before diving into weightier matters. Brace yourself as we shift gears to examine New York City's controversial program offering up to $4,000 to immigrants to leave city-funded shelters for permanent housing. From there, we dissect the chilling circumstances surrounding the tragic murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee, involving drugs, a wild party, and an enraged brother. Listener discretion is advised as we tackle these intense and shocking stories.

Switching the mood, I come clean about never having seen a cult classic movie now set for a remake. Despite catching snippets over the years, I'm clueless about the full storyline and question if it's finally time to watch it. We debate the merit of remaking beloved films, sharing our skepticism about whether this one will live up to its predecessor. We wrap things up with heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support and a reminder that we've already addressed the question of the day. Don't miss out on this rollercoaster of humor, controversy, and cinematic speculation!

Speaker 1:

Hello and good morning, or good afternoon and good evening, whichever time you are listening to this particular episode. Okay, I'm going to start off with the question of the day, kind of light-hearted, easy to get into, because then we're going to get into some serious topics, but then we're going to end with something lighter. Okay, question of the day how do you spell okay with just the o and the k, or do you spell it out with okay, a y? Or, if you text, do you just put k or do you just put a thumbs up? No, I'm just kidding. Let's just stick with the first question, but not considering texting. If you were to write it out, how would you spell okay just with the o and the k, like oklahoma and abbreviations, or would you spell okay just with the o and the k, like Oklahoma and abbreviations? Or would you spell out okay, a way, okay, a way. I think when I was younger I actually spelled it out okay, a why, I don't know why. Um, anyway, that's the question of the day. Kind of it could be a contentious question, I don't know. Uh, kind of like is the toilet paper over or under right? All right, now. Let's get on to the topics Now.

Speaker 1:

You may want to. If you have little children in the car. If you're listening to this while you drive, maybe pause, come back later, listen to it yourself. You know this is not for the little kids. All right, we're going to start off with Eric Adams. This is not so bad as far as like gore and murder and stuff.

Speaker 1:

This is more or less outrageous because they're paying $4,000 to immigrants to have them to move. Mayor Adams must think Gotham needs more illegal migrants, more illegal migrants. He's offering them up to $4,000 to leave city-funded shelter for permanent housing, which, of course, is more incentive to come here in the first place. Yeah, no joke, this is how the New York Post reads. No joke, the city's Department of Homeless Services launched a pilot program in December that grants supposed asylum seekers cash to cover the costs of moving out of the city shelter and into a permanent quarters. This is outrageous $4,000. They're paying these people to get a house, to get a permanent house, paying these people to get a house, to get a permanent house, moving apartment, whatever and this I can't believe. No one is talking about this. Already, 150 families have benefited and the city is looking at scaling up and expanding access to the funds. It means up to four grand to cover security deposits, moving expenses and first and last month rent, including $1,000 more available via gift cards. Sweet, so, really $5,000.

Speaker 1:

A city official wasn't able to say how much the program could eventually spend. She said assistance is approved on a case-by-case basis. Uh-huh, on a case-by-case basis, uh-huh. And all this on top of the free shelter, housing, food, health care, education, debit cards and other services. Illegal migrants already get pure madness.

Speaker 1:

Meanwhile, they're all running around killing american citizens what do you think about that? Raping and killing our women and children. It is outrageous. You can go finish reading that, because my next story is about a killer who oh no, no, this is not okay. We're going to get to that one in a minute. Let's get to this next one. This is so upsetting and so sad.

Speaker 1:

So do you remember the Cash App founder, bob Lee, who was murdered? Well, now we know the particulars of this, of this case. The man accused of murdering cash app founder Bob Lee confronted him about his sister excuse me allegedly taking drugs and getting naked at a party they both attended, according to court documents. Now that's a little confusing. I guess the sister of the murderer and this cash app ceo attended a party together. All right, let's read on.

Speaker 1:

Neema momini was said to have become enraged when his sister, kazar Elisana, called him, crying to come and get her from an alleged San Francisco drug dealer's apartment on April 3, 2023. Meany, 40, felt Lee, 43, had failed to protect his sister and that she had been victim of an attempted rape. According to a trial brief filed by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, kazar and others denied she had been sexually assaulted. According to the brief obtained by the post, witnesses described how Elise whatever her name is, elisania, a friend named oh god, these people with their fucking names a friend named Aranza Villagas, and Lee had all been. So lee, okay, all right. So the cash app founder lee that's him had been partying at the home of jeremy, somebody who has twice been convicted of possessing drugs with intent to sell, and there's a picture of them married famed plastic. Okay, so this kazar woman guess was the sister of the murderer is shown here in a picture, married to a famed plastic surgeon. All right, lee left.

Speaker 1:

So the Cash App founder Lee, he left the party, but Elasana and what is his name stayed and somebody allegedly gave them the drug. Okay, I can't with these people's names. I'm sorry, I know it makes it more confusing. You can't with these people's names. I'm sorry, I know it makes it more confusing. You can go read it, but this is what happened. The murderer's sister was partying with the cash app guy and I guess the cash app guy left the party. She stayed and trust me, I've done that a few times myself Not a good idea. Uh, so he, the brother, was enraged by this and decided to kill him. So there you go. There's your motive. All right, we're gonna move on to the next one, this one. I swear people with these transitioning crap.

Speaker 1:

Killer who transitioned while in jail for murder of nyc antiques dealer, previously decapitated. Someone with a chainsaw, says prosecutors, all right, this is the one I wanted to warn you about with the kids, but I've already said it, so hopefully you've already turned it off and you've come back by yourself. All right, why is there a person walking out here at 5 30? Okay, all right, sorry, moving on. Here we go. The baby face killer who murdered an upper east side antiques dealer with a decorative plate, kitchen knife and a maybe a pen, previously decapitated. Another man with a chainsaw. Authorities say and they just write this like it's like it's an ordinary happening.

Speaker 1:

Alex ray scott, a 28 year old trans female from oklahoma, who began transitioning in jail, of course admitted to the gruesome previous killing of robin scott depole, who was 63 in broken arrow, oklahoma when she was arrested. Him was it when he was arrested for the New York City slaying of Kenneth Savinsky, 64 in January of 2020. So he's killed more than one person. He's arrested for killing this particular person, but come to find out, he's killed other people too. And I say he. This article is writing she and her because this person is transitioned bullshit. Uh, I'm gonna call him he because that's what he is all right.

Speaker 1:

Details of the oklahoma murder surfaced monday at a manhattan supreme court hearing when scott pleaded guilty to second degree murder as well as multiple counts of criminal possession. Scott killed and stole credit cards from Savinsky in Upper East Side apartment after the two met on a dating app. Authorities say he had no memory of the bloody attack when he turned himself in and told police. I think I may have killed someone last night. Oh my gosh. This person Gosh. Credit cards belonging to Scott DePole and found on Scott at the time eventually led investigators to check Scott DePole's home in Broken Arrow. When he didn't answer phone calls, cops found the home empty of all possessions, but with pools and splatters of blood around it.

Speaker 1:

Investigators soon discovered that Scott oh my gosh, excuse me, excuse me. Investigators soon discovered that Scott had used two different kinds of saws to dismember him after killing him. The statement said that included cutting off the victim's head. Oh my gosh, this person and there they have a picture of him too. He's grown his hair long, he has on some fake eyelashes. He's now saying he's a woman. And you know what they are going to put this mfr in a women's. And you know what they are going to put this MF-er in a women's prison. You know they will.

Speaker 1:

Scott had rented a room in Scott DePole's apartment and told associates that he abruptly left for Dallas to explain his later disappearance. Heavy eye shadow and fake lashes, told the court he remembered using a decorative plate what a kitchen knife and maybe a pen to murder zavinsky. What in the world is this okay? Police had found zavinsky face down and covered in blood on his living room floor with a slit throat and several stab wounds. Goodness gracious, I can't. I can't, but they are going to put this person, this man who's who's pretending to be a woman because he probably wants to go to a female prison. He's afraid of going to a man prison. Okay, all right, here we go Next up. This is where we're going to leave it light, and this might be a little bit of a controversy too.

Speaker 1:

They are going to reboot the movie Goonies. Hey, you guys. Goonies sequel happening with original cast. All right, what do y'all think about this? The Goonies is finally getting the sequel treatment. A follow-up film to the 1985 cult classic about a group of adventurous kids is in the works, according to a new report from the Sun. The outlet reported that the cast members from the original movie are expected to return to the sequel. Oh my gosh. So this is Sean Austin, josh Brolin, corey Feldman, jeff Cohen, kerry Green, ki-hoo Kwon and Martha Plimpton starred in the film. Several cast members have died, including John Matuszak, ann Ramsey, mary Ellen Trainor, keith Walker and Lupe Antovaros. I don't even know who those people are. The sequel, according to the Sun, is scheduled to film next year, with a possible release date of 2026 or 2027.

Speaker 1:

What do you think about that? Now I have a confession to make. I have never seen this movie, I know, I know. Maybe I should go see it. I don't even know what it's about. I've seen little scenes here and there, but I don't even know what it's about. I've seen, you know, little scenes here and there, you know, but I don't even know what it's about. I've not seen the full film. Maybe I will have to sit down and watch it because, you know, it apparently is a cult classic, but I don't know. But they're going to do a remake. I think this is a bad idea. What do you think? All right, that's it for me. I already did the question of the day up front and I appreciate y'all listening. You guys have a great Tuesday and I will be back again tomorrow.
