Hello, good morning, welcome one and all Well, or afternoon or evening, whenever you're listening to this episode of my podcast, carol Remarks Welcome, welcome. All right, we have a lot to go over, so we really do need to get right to it. This time we have I have, five topics to talk about Now. I may not get into detail on most of them, or on some of them. I may just read a couple of sentences, because there are five topics and we need to hurry this along. All right, the first one up Now.
Speaker 1:I don't know what is going on with these kids and drugs and killing people. I don't, I don't understand. We have a crisis in America and I don't know. I don't know how or if we can even fix it or address it. Obviously we are not addressing it, we are ignoring it. I don't know. Something needs to be done.
Speaker 1:Mississippi girl, carly Gregg, who is 15 years old. She was seen texting stepdad seconds after allegedly fatally shooting mom Ashley Smiley, who discovered her secret life. Now, secret life is in quotations. Basically, this girl was on drugs and a friend of hers told the mom because he was concerned for her and I guess when they got home from school, the teenager let out the dogs and while she was doing that, the mom went through the teenager teenager's room, found some things, confronted her and I guess then this is when it went deadly. My question is how did the girl get the gun? All right, and mississippi teen sat in her kitchen alongside her two dogs moments after she allegedly killed her mother, as she is accused of texting her friend that she had an emergency and tried to lure her stepdad back to the home. That's not. That's the other part of the story. I forgot to tell you, but we're going to get to that. She's 15, is accused of murdering her mom high school teacher. So the mom is a high school teacher. Her name is ashley smiley.
Speaker 1:Inside their brandon mississippi home on march 19th when smiley discovered her daughter's secret life, greg the girl wearing a Nirvana band shirt awkwardly shuffled around the house holding something behind her back, later identified as a .357 Magnum handgun, and facing the camera so it could not detect the weapon. According to footage shown to a rankin county courtroom on tuesday, there is a camera inside the home. They have still shots on this article of the girl standing there sitting in the home with the dogs. She's texting somebody. It looks like she's in the kitchen. Uh wow. The teen walked across the house and disappeared behind a wall into her mother's bedroom when a loud bang presumably a gunshot goes off, as Smiley's scream is detected by the camera footage obtained by Law and Crime Captured. Okay, two more shots were then fired. Oh my, greg returned to the kitchen 10 seconds after the alleged shooting, again hiding the weapon. So she knew the camera was on her, I suppose, as she grabbed her mother's phone off the counter and sat on a stool as the two dogs stood beside
Speaker 1:her. Prosecutors allege that Greg was trying to lure her stepdad, heath Smiley, back to the home. When will you be home, honey? A text message read. According to the outlet. When Heath Smiley returned to the house, greg shot him in the shoulder. Luckily he did not die before the stepfather overpowered the teen and wrestled the gun from her. The mom and daughter duo had just returned home from school when the teen let the dogs out, as Ashley Smiles searched Greg's room and discovered vape pens. According to the WLBT, the Northwest Rankin High School math teacher was tipped off earlier in the day that Greg had been using drugs. The then 14-year-old was captured on home surveillance cameras walking around the house before allegedly firing three shots at Smiley. So she was 14 when she did this. Prosecutors accused the teen of killing her mom because a friend had told her about Greg's secret life with drugs on the day of the
Speaker 1:shooting. Damn,
Speaker 1:wow. So the oh man, what are
Speaker 1:you? What are
Speaker 1:you? What in the world is happening in America with this
Speaker 1:crap? Oh my gosh. In america with this crap, oh my gosh. I don't even know. I don't even know what to say to this anymore, because we see so many stories of this happening. Are we seeing more and more of this happening or are we just exposed to it more and more because of social media and the internet? What I think? More and more of it is happening. We have a mental illness crisis in america, especially with our children. I don't know if it's so much mental illness, um, as it is. I mean, this mother seemed like she was doing the right. She doing the right thing by going into her room, confronting the teenager, or wanting to confront a teenager to help her. I'm sure the mother wanted to help her, or maybe she's been trying to help her all this time. I don't know. We don't know the whole story, but the teen obviously didn't want to have anything
Speaker 1:with. Oh, later in the story, though, here's the thing later in the story, the stepdad was talking about it, she's, you know, they're in trial or whatever and he says that she was just unrecognizable on that day. He said it wasn't even her. In fact, he said that she doesn't even think she recognized him, which I think is bullcrap, because, you know, obviously on the uh, on the video, it shows her texting him from the mom's cell phone, trying to trick him to come home, so he can, so she can kill him too. But I mean, is it the drugs that's doing this to the kids? I don't know who knows what other drugs she was on too, because you know, it seems like in America we love to drug up our children these days. Is that not right? Everybody has an illness up our children these days, is that not right? Everybody has an illness, everybody has something going on, everybody has an ism, right. So let's put them on some medication. We need to figure this out and stop it. Oh my
Speaker 1:gosh. All right, we're moving on to the next story. You can go finish reading that. I suggest that you do, because there is more to the story. All right, this other dude, this other story. Oh my gosh, I cannot even. What is wrong with these men who think they can get away with this crap? Obviously he got away with it, but now he's caught 30 years I mean, okay, not 30 years later he's getting 30 years in jail, all
Speaker 1:right. Cia predator this is a CIA agent, okay, cia predator who sexually abused unconscious women across multiple countries, keeping 500 pics, videos of hor horrid acts. Sentenced to 30 years in jail. This guy, first of all, I don't even know where to start. Let's just read the story. I mean, he's he's a sexual predator. He's done this over years and years and years and he kept evidence of it. First of all, he shouldn't have even been doing that, all
Speaker 1:right. A disgraced CIA officer who drugged and sexually abused numerous women in multiple countries over 14 years Y'all 14 years and was found with over 500 disturbing images and videos of his victims, was sentenced to three decades behind bars. Brian jeffrey raymond he's 48 years old was slapped with a 30-year sentence on wednesday, after pleading guilty in november of 2023, to four of 25 counts, including sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, coercion and enticement, and transportation of obscene material, according to the Department of Justice, a CIA agent. He also admitted to drugging and then creating obscene material depicting 28 women without their knowledge or permission, or drugging two other women with some images depicting 28 women without their knowledge or permission, or drugging two other women, with some images depicting the predator groping and straddling his nude unconscious victim. This guy is gross and disgusting and if you look at his picture he looks like a normal guy. So if he's like on a dating app, women beware, it's not all what you think it is. Be very, very cautious out there in the dating world. It's safe to say he's a sexual
Speaker 1:predator. Us senior judge, colleen collar codally, said during the sentencing sentencing you are going to have a period of time to think about this, I guess, so you can go finish reading that. I mean this this guy, suit and tie, short haircut. Y'all be careful out there. Oh my gosh. You know, when I was younger, single, before I was married, before I had children, back in the day in the Navy days. Good Lord, heaven above, thank you for watching over me, because, my God, I could have easily been a victim of any of this stuff that you read about nowadays. My goodness gracious, this next story is a bizarre one too, and then we're going to get to the lighter stuff, I promise this is more sad than anything. It's also bizarre to me. This is
Speaker 1:crazy. Minnesota husband allegedly stabbed wife of 66 years to death after he lost his head. Now this, a Minnesota man, said he lost his head when he allegedly stabbed his wife more than six decades to death with a kitchen knife, leaving her oozing blood from her abdomen. Rodney Anderson, who is 85 years old okay, was arrested and charged Thursday in the brutal attack against his wife, janet Anderson, 83,. In their Annandale home, police found the woman lying on her back in the kitchen, heavily bleeding and oozing blood from multiple stab wounds to her abdomen. He has really lost his mind. He I ooh, he got mad at her. I guess I lost my head. Anderson told Annandale police who responded to the bloody
Speaker 1:scene. Anderson said he and his wife of 66 years of marriage had a big argument earlier Thursday morning and admitted to cops that he stabbed her but was not sure if she was still alive. Obviously not. The husband had called the authorities at 9 54 am and waited outside his front door for them to arrive. According to the court documents, responding officers saw Anderson on the steps of his Nolwood Street West home, shaking with his hands on his head. They then discovered the bloody knife in the kitchen sink. In the kitchen sink, anderson told police that the pair who had been married since 1958, continuously argue and that he guessed he grabbed the weapon from the butcher block in the kitchen just before stabbing her. My God, what could they have been arguing about after 66 years of marriage? Come on, good heavens, talk about needing some therapy. Oh, he confessed to stabbing his wife at least once in the. Okay, that is just crazy to me. Married 66 years, had an argument and killed her. Oh, what the hell, what the hell, what the hell. I want to know, I need to
Speaker 1:know. All right, moving on to the lighter side of things, two more stories and then we'll cut it. This. I want your opinion on this, I need your, especially men, give me your opinion on this. Here we go. Uh-oh, okay, man's six dollar demand after coffee date fail. Exposes relationship issue. All right, a Sydney man who demanded a woman pay him back the $6 he spent on her, uh, during a coffee date has exposed. Exposed why women relation, why modern relationships are doomed Apparently. Uh, let's see. Okay, apparently this man approached this woman. Her name is Emily, she's 29 years old, at the beach and invited her out for a drink. She agreed to meet him, but only for coffee, and the pair later went for coffee. But after their date, emily admitted she felt there was no spark between them, prompting him to do the unexpected demand she pay for her hot beverage. Of course she took to Tik TOK and blah, blah, blah.
Speaker 1:There's. The story goes on and on and on. But oh my God, it's a long story. Come on, it's just it's a long story, I'm not going to sit here and read it all. You got the gist of the story. A man approached her, invited her out for a drink, agreed. She said let's go have coffee. They went and had coffee. I don't know what happened there. Maybe she offered to pay. He said no, I don't know who knows what happened, but apparently he paid for the coffee. They said I mean, that's what you do, that's how you figure out if you're not compatible or not. You meet when you meet with each other, right, and then you would need to figure out if you want to go on from there. Maybe she should have paid for her own coffee, I don't know. Did he offer to pay for it? I don't know, but he paid for it. And now, since it didn't work out, since she is rejecting him now, he wants his six dollars. It's six dollars. I know the economy is bad, but come on, it's six
Speaker 1:dollars. I want to know your thoughts on this man. What do you think? Should she pay him this? I would I say here's your freaking six dollars. I want to know your thoughts on this man. What do you think should she pay him this? I would I say here's your freaking six dollars. Get out of my face. Get out my face. Look if they went out for coffee at starbucks, he's lucky, he got off at six dollars. Right, trust me, I'm a starbucks customer. But you know what? I don't drink, I don't smoke. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. I'm buying a Starbucks coffee. Okay, I'm not giving up that vice, not doing it All
Speaker 1:right. Last topic I don't know if you guys were involved or like the Golden Bachelor. Remember that the Golden Bachelor. I was all into it. I've never watched the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, never watched an episode of it ever, but I watched the Golden Bachelor. I had to come on and it was good, it was very good. But now, of course, he picked the wrong girl. I didn't want him to pick this one. He picked, but he did. But now they got married and then, like three months later, they divorced. So big fail. However, now they're doing a golden bachelorette with Joan. I remember Joan, okay, so here we're going to talk, we're going to read it. Just a few minutes, just a few minutes
Speaker 1:worth. Joan Vasos she's 61, is making history as the first ever lead of the golden bachelorette which premieres on ABC on September 18th. She quickly became a fan favorite when she competed for Jerry Turner's heart on the Golden Bachelor last year. However, her quest for love ended prematurely when she exited the show only three weeks into filming to focus on her daughter who had just given birth. I remember her now. Yes, she is the one that had to leave early. She's super cute. Her mouth is a little weird. I don't understand her mouth, but she's cute, she's nice. This is going to be fun. I don't know that I would have picked her to be the bachelorette. I would have picked somebody else. But you know, we'll see and we'll be involved with that and I will be podcasting that when I start watching it. It'll be fun, all right, that is my question of the
Speaker 1:day. Can you tell me about your first date with your significant other? Did you ask her out or him? How did that go? What was your first date with the spouse you're married to now? I know that's a weird question. You know what I mean. You know what I mean. I hope you do. What was your first date with your spouse? Okay, maybe one day I'll talk about my first date, because I always told the gent we never dated, we were just friends hanging out. I always told him that whenever we went out somewhere we discussed, I was like we're not dating, we're just friends hanging out. Okay, gotta go.
