TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Can the unexpected appearance of the Northern Lights in the southern states rewrite the narrative on climate change? Our latest episode kicks off with a lively morning chat where we tackle two intriguing subjects shaping today's conversations both politically and naturally. We begin with a critical look at the political buzz surrounding figures like Kamala Harris and "Tampon Tim" on Twitter, where the social media tide seems to be turning against them. Speculation abounds on whether these developments could spell trouble for upcoming elections and what it means for the broader political landscape. Join us as we dissect these digital dialogues and ponder their potential impact on the political stage.

Switching our focus from politics to the whimsical wonders of nature, we explore the rare phenomenon of the Northern Lights appearing in unexpected locations like Alabama and Georgia. What could this peculiar event indicate about our climate? Does it challenge the dominant narrative of global warming, hinting instead at a cooling trend? With curiosity piqued, we unravel this mystery, questioning conventional wisdom and reflecting on the ever-changing world around us. Grab your coffee and tune in for a thought-provoking session filled with engaging discussions and amusing musings on the topics that matter.

Speaker 1:

Hello, good morning.

Speaker 2:

Good morning everyone. What a beautiful day it is. Caught you in mid-yawn? Yes, it was.

Speaker 1:

All right, well, happy Friday.

Speaker 2:

It's a gorgeous Friday, yes.

Speaker 1:

What's happening? I don't even have my coffee yet.

Speaker 2:

It's brewing. I got up early and drank all the first pot, so second pot's on its way.

Speaker 1:

How long have you been up?

Speaker 2:

second pot's on its way. How long you been up? Oh, just not long about. I think we like 1, 30. No, I more like 4, 30, 4, 30. Yeah, that's not wow.

Speaker 1:

That's an hour and a half longer than we normally someone will be taking a nap here in about an hour.

Speaker 2:

Probably so, but that's okay too.

Speaker 1:

All right what do you got on your mind, the dear gent?

Speaker 2:

I had two things this morning. The first thing is that when I woke up, you know, the first thing I do is get Twitter out and start looking at it, and I noticed that most all of the tweets that were running through were either of crazy cackling cackle or Tampon Tim getting hammered by Twitter Nothing you know, building them up. Usually they're all building up how wonderful they are, how they were getting just hammered left and right. So that kind of led me to believe that.

Speaker 1:

What are they getting hammered about?

Speaker 2:

Just everything, everything you see on the news from them lying to Tim being now diagnosed as being bipolar to that's a new one, yeah to. You know Kamala listening to headphones while she was trying to answer questions, and then, of course, you know the mic thing was. You know, are we live? I'm going to get a question. You know her CBS line. You know changing her answer. You know putting up not the answer that she actually had. You know all that stuff they're just getting. I mean literally they're both taking it on the chin this morning. You can take that both ways if you'd like, but yeah, literally just taking it on the chin this morning, which again, like I said, led me to believe that or to the assumption that maybe the Dems are in trouble with this pick in trouble with this pick.

Speaker 2:

Maybe it is this decline that we saw when she ran for president the first time and was a failure disaster. Maybe that romance now is over Because, again, if we go back and look at facts of the whole thing, nobody ever voted for in a primary to become president. This was all built up and euphoric because the press did it. So you know, when the substance now gets to it, maybe we can knock on woods. Maybe Americans do have a little. We can give America a little bit of credit for saying you know, that's not right, this is not good. We'll see, of course, when the election time comes around, but it just seems like there was more out there today that was saying trending and leading and believe that that's the case. So take that for what it's worth. That was one of the things on my mind. What do you think?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, good answer.

Speaker 1:

I don't have my coffee yet.

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to put it on pause. Yeah, I need my coffee. All right, what else we got going on?

Speaker 2:

The next thing I saw was and this is something that kind of intrigued me was it wasn't until last year that the Northern Lights were actually seen in Alabama, or that we saw the Northern Lights in Alabama. Now it may have occurred years and years ago. As far as my 60 years ago, I can't remember seeing the Northern Lights in Georgia or Alabama. Apparently, they're being seen again, further and further and further south.

Speaker 1:

I saw a bunch of people post stuff, but I didn't know where it was or how it was happening.

Speaker 2:

Which makes me wonder, you know, are the Northern Lights. Can we consider them? This is my brain and the way it works. If the northern lights are proceeding southward, doesn't that mean cold weather is coming a little bit more south?

Speaker 1:

Climate change.

Speaker 2:

So does that mean that we're not going into global warming? We're actually cooling Because, you know, the northern lights are coming south, kind of like it's getting colder in the south. Well, the northern lights are going south, so therefore it must be cooling in the south. You know, people argue that left and right, but it just kind of struck me as thinking well, maybe we're really going through global warming, maybe we're having a global cooling period. I just thought that was kind of funny too. Those are the two things that were on my mind.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you got a question of the day Is that it we're done.

Speaker 2:

Okay then.

Speaker 1:

I've got to keep it short, Okay then, I'm over on my allotment for my platform.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right, all right.

Speaker 1:

Plus, I want to get to Pat Gray.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, I guess this was the Carrie episode I would have thought of more to speak of, but my darling wife wants to cut it short for Pat Gray.

Speaker 1:

Well, not just that. I have to keep it short because I'm over my a lot of time and I'm being charged extra, oh okay.

Speaker 2:

And I'm being charged extra, oh okay, all right, all right, all right. Question of the day.

Speaker 1:

All right, here we go. Question of the day.

Speaker 2:

The question of the day is when you're checking out whether it be at any store, whatever store you're checking out when you're checking out and they look at you and go, would you like to round up to give to the charity that we've got? Do you say yes, so you don't get the change back, or do you say no and get your change back? That's the question I have that's if you're paying cash.

Speaker 1:

Does it matter if you're paying credit?

Speaker 2:

card. Do it to it with credit card too. Sure you know, I think they say right when you want to round up. I always say no because I I'd rather give to the charity of my choice there you go, you know, yes, absolutely so know, that's my question and of course too, it's a matter of you know. A lot of people would do it, as you know round up to keep change out of their pocket. No, I want my change back.

Speaker 1:

I think it's a scam. How do we know where it goes? We? Don't know where it goes Exactly. I think the store just keeps it.

Speaker 2:

It could very well be too Absolutely. Very well be too Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Somebody needs to do an investigation. I demand an investigation.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Alright, gotta go.

Speaker 2:

Roll dogs go. I was gonna make a bad joke about Alabama losing to Vanderbilt, but go dogs.
