Global Stories: From Prison Sentences to Biblical Discoveries
Freedom means vastly different things depending on where you live. Ahmad Al-Doush, a British Bank of America analyst, was sentenced to ten years in Saudi prison over a single deleted tweet from 2018. Apprehended without explanation at King Khalid Airport while his pregnant wife watched helplessly, this case serves as a sobering reminder of the speech freedoms Americans often take for granted.
Ever wonder if airplane mode really matters? Aviation experts confirm that while your plane won't "fall out of the sky," multiple phones searching for signals can create disruptive interference in pilots' headsets. This buzzing noise becomes particularly dangerous during takeoff and landing when clear communication with control towers is essential. Those few hours without social media scrolling could literally help ensure everyone's safety.
In a fascinating scientific development, researchers using ground-penetrating radar technology claim to have discovered evidence of Noah's Ark. Their investigation revealed soil composition differences consistent with patterns formed by decaying wood—lower pH levels, twice the organic matter, and 40% more potassium than surrounding areas. Whether you view this through a lens of faith or scientific skepticism, it represents an intriguing intersection of ancient texts and modern research methods.
We also touch on the controversial news that the Menendez brothers have become eligible for parole after serving 30+ years for murdering their parents, sparking heated debate about justice and redemption. The question remains: what small acts of kindness might create ripple effects in others' lives? Simple gestures—a genuine smile, thoughtful prayer, or taking time to truly see someone—can profoundly impact those around us in ways we may never fully understand.

Well, hello and good morning. It's Wednesday, hump day, let's get right to it. Alright, I got some stories out here for you. Bank of America analyst sentenced to 10 years in Saudi Arabia prison over single years old tweet that was actually deleted, too. What in the world? Isn't this the country that President Trump was just visiting? Hello, I mean mean, am I wrong? I don't know, but why are we making friends with them all? Right? Okay, I see what you mean about the pop-up ads. Oh my gosh, mr shawns, this is ridiculous. Oh god, what new york post didn't used to do this crap? Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1:A senior business analyst of with Bank of America and Data 4 was sentenced to 10 years in Saudi Arabia prison over a single 7-year-old tweet, according to reports. Here's the thing I read this whole article and it doesn't say what the tweet was. So what the hell? His name is Ahmad Al-Doush D-O-U-S-H. That's how I'm going to pronounce it. We'll call him Ahmad. A 41-year-old British national and former Bank of America contractor received the steep sentence after the Saudi government claimed a since-deleted 2018 post on his 37-f 37 follower Twitter account. Oh my gosh. Another pop-up account was national security threat, according to the times of London. Get out. Aren't you glad you live in America? As Mr Sean said in my response to this? All right, he missed the birth of our fourth. Okay, I'm not going to read all that. A let's see A second unsubstantiated claim from the Saudi government alleged Ahmad had contact with a Saudi critic in exile, which his family believed was the father of one of his acquaintances.
Speaker 1:The Mirror reported reported. The sudanese-born dad was first apprehended last august in the king khalid airport and by plainclothes officers who refused to inform him or his then pregnant wife of any charges or reasons for the arrest. The outlet reported they just came and snatched his ass up from the airport. I guess they can do that. Imagine americans trying to do that. We don't do that, though. We're not that type of government. Okay. Well, we're not supposed to be. The family proceeded to travel back to manchester manchester. Okay, you know, I'm not going to read all this. He is in prison for a 2018 tweet that has since been deleted, and they won't tell us what. They don't even need to tell us what it is. I'm sure it was dumb. He had 37 followers. Wow, I mean. Come on next up on the list.
Speaker 1:Here's what happens when you don't put your phone on airplane mode. This is from an aviation airport. He basically says nothing, but then he goes on to say well, if three or four of them are trying to find a signal, it could interfere with our headset, but he acts like it's no big deal. Hello, have you been watching the problems with uh, the aviation industry today, mr Pilot man? Oh, so let's see. Here we go. But what actually happens if you refuse or simply forget to put your phone on airplane mode? Not a darn thing, gary, says a pilot and flight instructor with 7 000 flight hours told travel and leisure. However, most experts admit that, even if it's not the grim of an outcome, it it's highly suggested to turn on airplane mode out of consideration. Consideration of whom? Your neighbor sitting next to you, maybe, but here's the thing. No, your plane won't fall out of the sky and it won't even mess with the systems on board. However, it does have potential to mess with the headsets.
Speaker 1:A pilot and US Army veteran explained on TikTok, where he's known as Perch Point. He explained in the video, which has racked up 1.2 million views, that even if three or four people on a Boeing 737 have their phones trying to make a connection to a radio tower for an incoming call. It sends out radio waves that could potentially interfere with the radio waves of the pilot's headsets. Look, I want my pilots on full alert. They need communication. I don't want the interference with anything. If they need their headsets clear, put your phone on airplane mode. You can handle it for a few hours. Bring a book, read a freaking book. I swear it's not the end of the world, but it's definitely pretty annoying. He concluded. Pilots rely on intel. They get from the control tower through their headsets due to their limited visibility. They get from the control tower through their headsets due to their limited visibility, particularly during takeoff and landing, when most aviation-related accidents tend to occur, as Perch Point explained. While they can still hear instructions through the headsets, if radio towers are interfering, there will be a buzzing noise that could make the audio not as clear. I need the messages to the pilots to be crystal clear, do you understand? Put your phone on airplane mode. Thank you All right, moving on to the next one Noah's Ark Sights fully preserved Secrets discovered in radar scans by scientists.
Speaker 1:Not what you would expect to see Now. I was just putting this out there. I wasn't really going to talk about this. But now that Mr Sean says't he couldn't read it because all the pop-up ads, I'll try to read some of it now. You could always put it on a reader mode. Or you know, hide what is it? What's it called? Hide? Uh, hide reader mode or show reader mode, and it takes away. It strips away all the. It strips away the ads, the photos, all of that. So you can still read it, you just? Well, there are some pictures. They have some pictures included in the reader mode. So that's the thing with my blog too. I would love people to comment on my blog, but I think they go over. If they even go over and read it, they may have it on reader mode, so they don't see the comment box. If you take it off of reader mode, I do not have pop-up ads on my blog at all. So take it off of reader mode and you can see the comment box. Okay, anyway, moving on, jones used ground. Let's see. Is that the beginning of it? No, I was jumping right in the middle of the article.
Speaker 1:American researchers claim to have cracked one of the Bible's enduring mysteries after using radar technology to map the possible remains of Noah's Ark. It is exactly what you'd expect to find if this were a man-made boat consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah's Ark. Andrew Jones, an independent researcher, told the Christian Broadcasting Network while revealing the groundbreaking results of his multi-year project. I bet if you go over to the Christian Broadcasting Network site they'll have this article on there without all the pop-ups. Jones works with Noah's Ark scans, which he described as a loose organization of individuals interested in pursuing. Okay, I, I haven't read all of it. Um, I'll try to go back and read more of it. Maybe I don't know. Um.
Speaker 1:Meanwhile, an examination of 22 soil samples collected from the site revealed that their suspected structure had lower ph levels, two times the organic matter and 40% more potassium. I don't know what any of this means inside compared to outside. The formation Discrepancies the team deemed consistent with rotting wood. If you know soil science which I don't and I'm so and I, he says I'm a soil scientist you'll understand that potassium levels, organic matter and pH can all be influenced by decaying organic matter. This is like getting really into the weeds for me. I have no idea. So I mean, what do you think If you can go read this in the reader mode without all the pop-up ads?
Speaker 1:Tell me your thoughts on this. What do you think? Do you think they really found it All? Right? Gosh, where am I at? I'm at eight. Yeah, I'm at eight minutes, so I'm going to have to wrap this up real quick.
Speaker 1:There was one more thing I wanted to talk about this, michael Goodwin. Actually two more things, and I'll just briefly touch on them. I won't go read them. So, michael Goodwin Trump he's a writer for the New York Post. Trump, recklessly accepting a plane from Qatar is the type of unnecessary risk that could ruin his presidency. And my response to that people in positions such as this writer for the New York Post amaze me that they're so stupid and gullible. Come on, do you really believe that he's going to accept a plane, I mean, without going through all of the necessary channels and make sure it's legit? Don't be so stupid. I swear, just like he's gonna say he's gonna run for a third term. Stop, use your brain cells, okay, thanks.
Speaker 1:I'm moving on to the next one, the menendez brothers, eligible for parole after serving more than 30 years behind bars for shotgun slayings of their parents. Judge rules, so now they get to be put up for parole, and that could happen immediately. I think this is so wrong. Look, we either sentence these people and stick to it or we don't. I mean, I just I don't. I don't think they should be let out. I don't care how much their family says they're reformed. No, they shot their parents on purpose. Their parents were sitting in their den watching tv. These two killers waltzed up in there with shotguns and shot the shit out of them. So no, no, that was not self-defense. No, sir, I don't believe it. I just. This is crazy. Stupid idiots on tick tock. Who. Who said they? Who? Who actually petitioned for this? It's so dumb. All right, question of the day.
Speaker 1:What small act of kindness do you think can create a ripple effect in someone's life? A lot of things. It could be prayer. It could be a simple. It could be a simple smile. It could be a simple hello how are you doing? Looking them in the eye? It could be anything. So what is your answer to that? All right, I gotta go. Thanks for listening. Love y'all Bye.
