Speaker 1:

Hello, good morning, happy Wednesday. We need to get right to it because I have a lot to say. First, I want to talk about UPenn and their decision to correct their record, to correct the record about women in sports, men in women's sports, leah Thomas, will Thomas. Oh my gosh, this is fantastic, great news. I guess, I don't know, did somebody sue them? I don't know, but this is amazing and a huge win. I hope everybody talks about it. It needs to be in all the headlines. It needs to be in all of the mainstream media news, because this is the way it should have been all along. Upenn has agreed to apologize to the female division one swimmers who were forced to compete against Leah Thomas, will Thomas. Now I'm going to read this whole thing. It's kind of long, so bear with me. It's from Redux R-E-D-U-X-X mag, m-a-m-a-g-m-a-g. You should go follow them. It's at Redux with two X's R-E-D-U-X-X-M-A-G. Go follow them. They have all the news with this trans stuff, alright. It has also committed to stripping Thomas of the titles and records he obtained while competing as a woman and will return them to female athletes Praise.

Speaker 1:

Just hours ago, the US Department of Education announced that the following steps will be taken by the UPenn to comply with Title IX. Thank you, linda McMahon. Upenn will restore to female athletes all individual UPenn Division I swimming records, titles or similar recognition which were misappropriated by male athletes allowed to compete in female categories. Upenn will issue a public statement to the university community stating that it will comply with Title IX, specifying that UPenn will not allow males to compete in female athletic programs or occupy Penn Athletics' female intimate facilities. Thank you, the statement will specify that UPenn will adopt biology-based definitions for the words male and female, pursuant to title nine and consistent with president trump's executive orders defending women from gender ideology, extreme extremism and keeping men out of women's sports. Thank you, president trump, thank you, upenn, for abiding by these executive orders because a lot of people don't have to. They're not doing it because it's not law. All right, I guess they like that money. Upenn will post the statement in a prominent location on its main website and on each of its websites for women's athletics which violated Title IX, remove or revise any internal public-facing statements or documents that are inconsistent with Title IX and notify all staff and women's athletics of all such rescissions, and UPenn will send a personalized letter of apology to each impacted female swimmer. I'm glad they're doing that part. I wish that they would do it in person, but I'm gonna take this anyway. This is fantastic news.

Speaker 1:

This action followed an investigation by the department, by the department's office for civil rights, that found UPenn violated Title IX. Hello, hello, do we even you even needed a? You needed an investigation over that by allowing Leah Thomas to compete in FEMA athletic programs and occupy FEMA-only locker rooms. He is a man. You needed an investigation to figure that out. Whatever, I'm taking this win, it's freaking huge. I love it. And another win.

Speaker 1:

On a side note, you probably won't hear about this. Do you remember julie jamin jimon? And she was the washington woman who was banned from the her local ymca after objecting to a man invading the women's locker room. Well, guess what? She just won a $65,000 settlement. Men do not belong in women's private spaces. My question is is she allowed back in her YMCA? I don't know. All right, so let's see what else is going on. Um well, the big beautiful bill passed. It's going back to the house for more votes, so we'll see how that goes. All right, this next one is kind of silly. We need to get into. We need to get into some silliness. So wearing this specific accessory might prevent men from dating women, and they don't even realize it. No wonder I'm single. I call big B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T on this story. B-s Huge, but here we go. This is why I picked this up, because I think it's ridiculous.

Speaker 1:

Social media has a theory that pearl earrings repel men. I have, let me read it. Let me read a couple of paragraphs and then I'm going to get into my commentary. Pearl jewelry often symbolizes beauty, class and sophistication. Now for those exact views single girls on TikTok. Of course TikTok are ditching the feminine pieces because they think wearing them is preventing them from meeting eligible bachelors. Ladies, let me tell you something right now, you need to put those pearl earrings right back on your ears. Put your pearl necklaces on, because you want the kind of men attracted to that. If men are repelled by that, those are the ones you don't want. Okay, those are the ones you don't want. Use your brain cells, ladies, to justify why today's generation of men don't know how to pursue women anymore.

Speaker 1:

Tiktok created the pearl earring theory, which is that women who wear this type of accessory are viewed as intimidating, expensive or high maintenance Qualities that might scare away potential suitors. Look, if the man can't handle you, then he's not a man and is not the one you want. Okay, that's just. You need a man who can be a man, and if he is intimidated by you, that's not the one you want. You need a man who can be a man and let you be you. Oh, ladies oh, I wish I could say it more bluntly you want to attract real men, not scared little boys. Okay, okay, add pearls to the list of red flags men try to avoid in today's dating world. Wrong, I think this is wrong.

Speaker 1:

One content creator named Morgan McGuire shared a video expressing her disappointment over this bizarre theory. Recently, I've been realizing I'm chronically single. I just found out about pearl earring theory. No wonder I'm single. I'm decked out in pearls. Truly, it's everywhere. I don't think I'd look intimidating, she said, as she showed off her love for the gemstone worn in jewelry and nail art form. Here's another thing maybe it's not the pearl earrings that are repelling men. Okay, maybe it's something else that you're doing. Just saying, her video, uh, garnered over 200 000 views, and she's not the only one annoyed. Her video garnered over 200,000 views and she's not the only one annoyed at this excuse. Social media is giving men A quick search of the theory on TikTok and countless videos pop up with women claiming it's true. In another video, a woman showed herself wearing the hard glistening ear accessory with overlaying text that read Am I single by choice or is it because of the pearl earring theory? It's probably something else, sweetheart.

Speaker 1:

The hundreds of people in the comment section of this video either believe the theory or skeptical of it. This explains everything. No, it doesn't. So there's that. I just think that's hilarious. What are your thoughts on that? Those are, that's not the question of the day. But moving on to the next story, this is so bizarre. I hope they keep. I hope the New York Post keeps us updated on this next story, because this is really weird and I do want your thoughts on this too.

Speaker 1:

New Yorker Brian Terrence vanishes while on romantic vacation in Turks and Caicos with his wife. He basically disappears. So they go to this Airbnb they're on their honeymoon no, no, no, not honeymoon, there's just a vacation. And I think they've only been married a year, according to this story and they do their typical, regular touristy things. And then at three o'clock in the morning, he gets his ass up, gets dressed, grabs his phone and wallet and goes out. What in the world At three o'clock in the morning? Nothing good ever happens after midnight, even on vacation. So, and in a foreign place, turks and Caicos I guess that's a foreign right, turks and Caicos? I don't even know where that is.

Speaker 1:

So a Manhattan man has vanished in Turks and Caicos after he bizarrely left his Airbnb in the early morning early morning, yeah, 3 o'clock in the day and morning while on a romantic vacation with his wife. He's 51 years old. He was seen on security footage leaving his rental in Grace Bay and walking toward the tourist-heavy downtown area at 3.30 am on on june 25th. So they have him on camera doing this. But then he just disappears. Um, so I don't understand what. What happened here? What do you think happened there's? There's nothing else to it. I mean, that's the story. He also had his cell phone and wallet with him when he left, noting that the area from which he went missing is very safe. But why terrence left the rental in the first place remains a mystery. I wonder.

Speaker 1:

Again, I'm going to blame everything, do everything on these dosing psychedelics. That's what I'm going to blame everything on these days. I mean, who gets up in the middle of the night to go. What was he doing? What do you think he was doing? 3.30 in the morning leaving his Airbnb? What do you think he was doing? Okay, I don't really have anything else. We need to go to the question of the day. Okay, what are your plans for the 4th of July? You know that's coming up. It's Friday. Happy 249th birthday to America.

Speaker 1:

We are finally going to go to the farm. We have a friend who throws this huge ass party at their farm every year on 4th of July. They've been doing it for over 60 something years and they pretty much invite the whole damn county and we used to go to it all the time and then then for a while, we, for the last I don't know five years, we haven't gone. So we're going this year. My kids have always gone after they've gotten grown and everything, because they also do a work camp leading up to the like. This whole week there they have their family and cousins and some of their friends come over to help get the farm prepared for it. My kids used to be a part of that when they were younger teenagers, whatever. So they still go out there. They've been still going as adults, and so we're going to go this year.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited for it. They usually have airplanes out there, sometimes they'll have a hot air balloon, they'll have music, they have little choo-choo train rides for the kids. It's pretty cool too. And oh, and then at four o'clock they ring the dinner bell and everybody gets in a line and they go through the buffet. They have barbecue and the patriarch and matriarch are up there serving, at the head of the line, serving and greeting people. It's pretty cool. I'll take pictures and videos for this weekend. All right, gotta go. Thanks for listening. Love y'all, bye.
