Beyond Politics: Transplant Ethics, Celebrity Marriage, and Movie Magic
Our medical system harbors a shocking secret that might make you think twice about your organ donor card. A disturbing investigation has uncovered that doctors may be rushing organ transplants before donors have truly passed away. With over 70 cases in Kentucky alone where organ retrievals were canceled because patients showed signs of revival, the story raises profound ethical questions about our transplant system. More alarmingly, medical workers across 19 states report witnessing disturbing cases, with some alleging that drugs were administered specifically to hasten donors' deaths.
Away from these medical ethics concerns, we've uncovered that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may be facing marital troubles. After purchasing a $4.34 million Georgetown townhouse reportedly at his wife Cheryl Hines' request, Kennedy now finds himself in an awkward position as sources claim she has no intention of leaving Hollywood to become a DC power couple. The purchase, which followed allegations of Kennedy's inappropriate relationship with a journalist, was supposed to "mend their marital bridges" – but appears to have failed in that mission.
For fans of fashion and film, we've confirmed the exciting news that "The Devil Wears Prada" sequel is genuinely happening! Production has already begun under the clever codename "Carillion" (a reference to Miranda Priestly's famous cerulean blue monologue), and the entire original cast is returning. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci will all reprise their iconic roles in what's sure to be a must-watch follow-up to the beloved original. We wrap up with a question about your most quotable movies – what films do you find yourself referencing most often? Share your thoughts with us, and remember to subscribe for more news that goes beyond the headlines!

Hello, good morning, welcome one and all. All right, I have a couple of stories here for you that are really unrelated to politics. I think I scrounged and tried to find something that might be interesting. That's, other headlines other than the mainstream news. All right, organ donors lives endangered by rushed transplant procedures investigation fines. This is from the New York Post. The other two stories I have are actually from page six of the New York Post. All right, anyway, we're moving on.
Speaker 1:As a new report claims that premature organ transplants have endangered donors, hhs secretary robert f kennedy jr has announced plans for a new initiative to reform the system. Several families have stated that surgeons attempted to initiate organ retrievals while patients were still alive or improving, as noted in a july 20th report from the New York Times. Oh, my goodness. Amid a growing push for increased transplants, a growing number of patients have endured premature or bungled attempts to retrieve their organs. My goodness, according to the report, which painted a picture of rushed decision making and organ demand taking priority over donor safety. This is horrible, if true. In a recent investigation by health resources and services administration, hrsa, there are more than 70 canceled organ removals in kentucky alone. That should have been stopped sooner because the patient showed signs of revival.
Speaker 1:The report stated the problem appears to be linked to an increase in donation after circulatory death. I don't even know what that means, is it? They're just regular death. What is donation after circulatory death? I don't know which? Oh, here here's going to tell us which is when the patient has not been declared brain dead but it's critically ill or injured. Oh, this is horrible. I don't even know how this works. In that case, life support is withdrawn and organs are harvested within a couple of hours after the heart stops. Naturally, I just, I just don't like that term. Organs are harvested, so They've been. That has not wait. Okay, so the problem appears to be linked to an increase in donation After circulatory death, which is when the patient has not been declared brain dead but is critically ill. So they're still freaking living and you're trying to go in and get their damned organs. The Times reported indicated that 55 medical workers in 19 states reported witnessing at least one disturbing case of donation after circulatory death, some even claiming that providers had administered drugs to hasten the death of donors. Goodness, I'm not. You can go finish reading that, but we need to move on to the other stories here that I have, uh, from page six. And uh, let's see, here we go.
Speaker 1:Robert f kennedy jr, rfkj, feels like he's been taken for a ride by his wife, uh, cheryl hines, who is a actress out in hollywood. He's married to her, her name is cheryl hines. Has no plans to leave hollywood, sources hit, so he bought her a house in dc. Okay, let me read it robert f kennedy jr feels he has been taken for a ride by wife Cheryl Hines after he bought a home in Washington DC to please her, and the actress now has no plans to leave Hollywood or become a full-time political wife. According to sources, so I don't know. The way that reads is that she wanted the house and now she has no plans on moving.
Speaker 1:Bobby felt the house in Georgetown would mend their marital bridges. One insider said of the $4.34 million 19th century house that Kennedy 71, purchased allegedly at Heinz behest last April purchased allegedly at Heinz behest last April. The insider described the townhouse as the embodiment of Kennedy's hopes for keeping their marriage alive and that the two would become Washington's latest power couple. Uh-oh, last September Kennedy was accused of having a sexting relationship with former New York magazine writer Olivia Newsy, 32, who had covered him for the publication. I don't know if that ever happened or not. I don't know when the scandal broke. The source okay, blah, blah, blah, scandal, blah, blah, blah, scandal, blah, blah, blah. So it looks like, I don't know, is that marriage in trouble, but now she doesn't want to leave Hollywood. I'd get the hell out of Hollywood, lady. Not that DC is probably any better, but you know, whatever, at least you'd have a nice house to live in.
Speaker 1:Okay, moving on, so we're going to go to another page six story. This story, I hope, is true. Lord, please let it be true. I know it's just a movie, but okay, you know the movie. The devil wears Prada. I love that movie. I love the book, I love the movie. I've watched it several times. I'll probably watch it again very soon. I just love that freaking movie. I know it's just a guilty pleasure, I know it's not deep and meaningful, but I like it. Okay, and I've heard rumors of a sequel coming out and I always thought that that was just fake news. But apparently, to page six, it's really happening. Gird your loins, it's the devil in disguise.
Speaker 1:Signs for a movie project named Carillion have been popping up in New York, but page six sources think it's actually a codename for the Devil Wears Prada sequel. When movies and TV shows are shooting on the streets of New York, they are required by law to post signs in advance, but sometimes the shoots with big-name talent try to use tricky techniques to throw off the paparazzi and autograph hounds. Notifications went up this week in Midtown on 5th Avenue, between 36th and 38th Streets, alerting residents they would be filming in the area on Tuesday, warning them to move their cars on Monday. Blah, blah, blah. The project name was listed as Carillion or Cerillion I don't know how to pronounce it the color used in a famed monologue given by Meryl Streep character, miranda Priestly, a stern.
Speaker 1:I remember that. I know what they're talking about. It's the color blue. She just called it Cerillion, a fancy name for blue, given Meryl Streep's character, miranda priestly, a okay, blah blah, yeah, okay, we get it, move on. The blue represents. Okay, we don't need to rehash the whole scene. On wednesday, grant willfully. Casting also shared an open casting call for background actors for the never wears product, two who were chic, stylish. Oh my god, is this really happening? Please let it be happening and please let the original cast be coming back. Production started in june and welcomes back the original cast of meryl streep hathaway, emily blunt and stanley tucci. Good, oh my god, this is really happening. Oh, I'm so happy. I love it. All right, we need to move on. Um, where am I at time here 7 41.
Speaker 1:But speaking of movies, mr Sean's put out a good tweet the other day in x post about the most quotable movies. He has a list of most quotable movies. Of course, the godfather is on there. He had some other ones listed. I can't remember. That's off the top of my head right now. So I think that is a great question of the day. What movie or movies do you think are the most quotable? Do you quote my husband? He quotes Caddyshack quite often. Um, we also quote Seinfeld a lot, even though that's not a movie. So let's stick with the movie theme. What are some movies that you quote a lot from? Okay, that's it for now, and you guys have a great day. Thanks for listening.
