Beyond Headlines: The Stories That Should Change How We See The World

TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Horrific crimes against children are happening right under our noses, yet mainstream media platforms remain suspiciously silent. We open with the disturbing case of seven individuals in Alabama arrested for operating a child sex trafficking ring involving victims as young as two years old. While they face potential life sentences if convicted, this story deserves national attention to ensure justice is served and similar operations are exposed.

Beyond this primary story, we examine several unusual incidents making headlines. A California surf instructor's claim that an Amtrak train severed her arm "without warning" raises questions about situational awareness and personal responsibility near railroad tracks. Meanwhile, the peculiar theft of dozens of peacocks worth $2,000 each from a historic California hotel demonstrates how even the most unusual crimes can occur in broad daylight with witnesses present.

The strange saga continues with yet another bizarre Planet Fitness incident – this time involving a naked man who refused to leave at closing time, subsequently tearing down ceiling panels, starting a fire, and ultimately being discovered hiding in a tanning bed. These stories collectively reveal something about our society's blind spots and the unexpected dangers lurking in seemingly ordinary places.

What truly matters in news coverage? Which disturbing realities do we face head-on, and which do we collectively ignore? Join the conversation by answering our question of the day: Who is the best movie villain? Your perspective matters as we navigate these challenging and sometimes bizarre current events together.

Speaker 1:

Well, hello, good morning, happy Thursday. We have a lot to go over, so let's get right to it, shall we? Alright, I don't even know if I want to bring up this one story. I do and I don't. I feel mixed things. I'm going to go ahead and bring it up first thing, and then we'll hopefully end on lighter notes. But this first story, I need y'all's help. I need you to help me to blow it up all over social media, because the mainstream media is not covering this, and they need to. The mainstream media needs to talk about this story in Alabama. It's horrible. Maybe that's why they don't want to talk about it, but it needs to be talked about. This is from the New York Post to be talked about. This is from the New York Post.

Speaker 1:

Warm Gator from I think that's his name his handle on X brought this to my attention yesterday and, oh my gosh, I actually saw the story before that, but I just skimmed over it because it was too horrifying. So if you have children hopefully you don't have children listening to my podcast anyway you guys know it's not kid friendly. So here we go. I'm not going to read all of it. I'll read the headline and then I'm going to read the names of the people. All right, at least 10 kids, some as young as two, sexually tortured with shock collars while held captive as part of Alabama sex trafficking ring, according to cops. I'm not going to read the story, because you can go read it. It's horrible, it's awful, and I think they're facing life in prison and I want I want them to have the death penalty. And I've tagged Steve, our Attorney General, steve Marshall, in all of this. Not that he's probably ever going to see it, but I think this needs national news. As horrifying as it is, this needs to be exposed to the gen pop, as Fury Energy would call them gen pop.

Speaker 1:

So these are the names of the people allegedly doing this and I say allegedly because that's how I guess illegally. We have to say that and I know people probably don't want to name the names of the perpetrators, the suspects, the awful people who do these crimes. I think we should. We need to drag their names out into the light because they need to be exposed. So here we go.

Speaker 1:

Rebecca Brewer 29. Sarah Louise Terrell 41. Ricky Terrell 44. Dalton Terrell 21. William chase, mcelroy, also 21.

Speaker 1:

Andre velasquez trejo, 29 and timothy st john 23 all face laundry list of charges, ranging from sodomy and rape to sexual torture and human trafficking. Each player arrested thus far played a specific role in the ring. Trafficking each player arrested thus far playing a specific role in the ring. So the last this Velasquez Trejo, would allegedly drug the young victims, all between the ages of 2 and 15 years old, by putting white powder in their drinks, before bringing in clients who would pay up to $1,000 to have sex with the children. We also need to track down these clients too. They're all demons in my eyes. These people need to be brought to justice. Luckily they have. They did have arrested, they have arrested them. They are going to hopefully face uh, hopefully, hopefully face justice.

Speaker 1:

But I think the article I read the other day said the charges that they've been put upon, or whatever you call it, they face life in prison if convicted. I believe and it needs to be more than life in prison, in my opinion they need to be straight to the death penalty and as torturous as it can be. I know in here in Alabama we put them to sleep with a shot. I would rather see them hanged or in the firing squad. I know it's a horrible or I know it's horrible story for this early in the morning, but I want this story to reach the mainstream media because people need to know this is happening. I think people go along with their lives and think, oh, la, la, la la, they might hear a story about this and they think it's so one-off type thing. It's not that you know. It's probably happening more than you know, more than you think. All right, we need to move on.

Speaker 1:

Surf instructor, 24 years old, has arm ripped completely off when clipped by an Amtrak train with no warning. You know, when I first read the headline I thought, oh gosh, a shark bit her arm off. Nope, arm ripped completely off when clipped by an Amtrak train with no warning. You know, when I first read the headline I thought, oh gosh, a shark bit her arm off. Nope, has nothing to do with surfing, but she's a surf instructor. First of all, let me tell you some of the comments I've gotten already. Freedom Entrepreneur says simple solution ban Amtrak. You can't ban Amtrak. I think obviously this person is joking. So MB writes no warning. How about looking before you cross the train tracks? And Nancy Vodka, soak Dentures, is commenting no warning, those sneaky Amtrak trains. All right, here we go to the story.

Speaker 1:

So this chick California surf instructor had her arm ripped off. Her name is Eliah Boyd, she's 24. Says she was in complete disbelief to look down and see she was missing her arm, which was found several feet away, allowing it to be reattached. Oh my gosh, they reattached her arm. This is crazy. All right, there are no train. There was no train horn. It was like three seconds from when I saw the train to when it happened.

Speaker 1:

I call BS on this. Come on. First of all, she probably had earbuds in Most people these days, most people, young people these days, have earbuds on and they can't hear a damn fucking thing, although you would think you could hear a train horn, come on. Or how about the vibration on the ground? You could hear a train horn, come on. Or how about the vibration on the ground? How about that? Can you not feel that? She said I just happened to have my hand still on the bike as the train goes by. The train barely clipped the bike just enough to take my arm completely off. Why were you so close to the train tracks? The sickening injury took place.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're not going to talk about all that. You can go finish reading that story over there if you'd like, but she's going to be all right. So they have pictures over in the hospital with you know, she's all right, she's going to be, she's smiling, she's okay. Wow, that's awful. But moving on to the next couple of stories here, these are more light.

Speaker 1:

Dozens of peacocks, worth about $2,000 a piece, mysteriously vanished from historic California hotel. All right, this headline is misleading because down in the story it tells you more. They mysteriously vanished. But then in the story it says that a witness saw a man with cages pick up these birds and put them in the cages in the pickup truck and drive off. So that's not really mysterious, is it a tale of intrigue?

Speaker 1:

Dozens of peacocks, each worth around two thousand dollars, mysteriously vanished from the lush grounds of historic california hotel, leaving the stunned staff suspecting a thief snatched their beloved birds. Just four of the 40 exotic birds which freely roamed the Golden State property and delighted guests at weddings and other events remained at the Hyde Hotel in Walnut Grove after the purported heist. We're not sure why anyone would do anything like this. Well, I have a few ideas, but the staff is absolutely heartbroken. General Manager David Nielsen said of the 36 missing peacocks they really meant a lot to us. Nielsen explained that hotel staff became aware of the potential theft on Sunday after a guest spotted two men grabbing the pricey peafowls and placing them in a cage on the bed of a pickup truck. So there's no mystery there, is it no mystery there? He said the friendly fowls were comfortable with human interaction, which likely made it easier for the alleged thieves to capture them. The shocking incident is now being investigated as a property crime.

Speaker 1:

Okay, blah, blah, blah. So how about you? Probably have you heard this story. I think it was in Ohio, where people grabbing up geese and taking them home to cook these illegals out on the streets, homeless people, I don't know. Maybe, of course, if he has the cages in a pickup truck, he's not homeless. Well, he could be homeless, but maybe it was a meal, I don't know. Can you eat peacocks? I don't know. I don't know. What do you think is happening? Why do you think this person stole these peacocks? I don't know.

Speaker 1:

The story goes on. I'm not going to continue. You can go finish reading it, all right? Last story here Naked Florida man found hiding in Planet Fitness. What is going on with Planet Fitness? Still with these crazy people at Planet Fitness. I will not ever go inside of Planet Fitness. I think is it Planet Fitness or is it Anytime Fitness. I can't remember the difference. Remember a couple years ago they allowed men to go in women's locker room. I don't know what is wrong with this guy either. He's got to be on drugs. Naked Florida man found hiding in Planet Fitness tanning bed after starting fire and tearing down ceiling. A little sun kissed. So no tan, no gain. So no tan, no gain. Henry was spelled with two R's, by the way, unless that was a typo Henry and Tunez.

Speaker 1:

Avrod's alleged nude rampage was uncovered by Lee County Sheriff's deputy inside Venice Florida gym just before midnight. Nothing ever good happens after midnight, although this says just before midnight. The 25-year-old all-natural gym goer allegedly became erratic and exposed himself after he was asked to leave the facility at closing time. Saturday night, deputies responded to the planet fitness on south to miami trail after reports of a naked man running through the gym, crawling into the ceiling and attempting to start a fire in the bathroom. Good, you think he was on drugs? Probably yeah, but let's make all drugs legal, right? Let's make it all. Let's make legal. Let's make drugs legal.

Speaker 1:

Deputies arrived at the gym finding smoke lingering in the men's locker room bathroom and stealing. Okay, blah, blah, blah. They get him, they arrest him, they take him into custody. So there you go them. They take them into custody. So there you go Crazy people out on the loose. All right, we need to move on. I have over my 10 minutes Dang it. All right, that's okay. We need a question of the day. Okay, completely off topic here, with the question of the day who is the best movie villain? I don't know that. I have an answer to that just yet. I don't know. I'm gonna have to think about that one that just popped in my head. Who is the best movie villain? That is the question of the day. I look forward to seeing your answers. All right, gotta go. Thanks for listening. Bye.
